A Christmas Quilt and a Muffin

So 3 years, 6 months, 23 days and 33 seconds later, I can finally say I have finished my Christmas quilt. (slight exaggeration)...

 

I did some hand-sewing (in red) around every other circle, which gave the back this adorable look.

The back is flannel, and I used 100% cotton batting (which I am quite smitten with).

I had to get my mom to hand-sew the corners because I avoid that type of hand-sewing like a plague! Because I folded the extra back flannel to the front, I sewed a border around the outside to keep my batting in place.

And as promised, a Muffin...

Who now, at 17 months, 2 weeks and 2 days, will play by himself for more than 15 minutes at a time :) I really could get used to this!

He also likes to help me clean.
